Committed to Serving You While Keeping Our "Social Distance" - COVID-19 Message

Our nation has been trying its best to stop COVID -19 from spreading in our communities.  Not knowing what will happen in the next few weeks and months leaves us all with questions.   In order to keep all of us as safe and healthy as possible, we are going to maintain contact with you via phone, email and regular mail service as needed.  We are not scheduling in-office or face-to-face meetings.

At this time, Dan, Wanda and Gwen are in the office Monday through Friday 9-5pm daily.  We are responding to all calls and emails in a timely manner.  Just know, we can also work remotely and will be able to respond to any needs in the event of a full office closure.  Should you need to make a payment or a policy change, please reach out to us directly at 651-264-1230.  The Contact Us tab at the top of the website has all of our emails as well.

If it is after hours and you have a claim to report, calling your carrier directly would be a faster response.  This is a great time to make sure you have your insurance carrier's MOBILE app as well.  Here is the carrier link page.  https://www.lancetteagency.com/links.aspx

Motorcycle Safety Tips: Getting Your Gear in Order

Motorcycle RidersSo you bought a motorcycle, a shiny beast that is your pride and joy. You probably spend a lot of time doing upkeep for your bike, whether it’s a cruiser or a sports bike. It’s a great thrill to ride a motorbike, but you shouldn’t forget about taking all the necessary safety precautions and, of course, getting motorcycle insurance. After all, accidents do happen.  And when this occurs, you want to be prepared.  Here are a few tips on staying safe on your motorcycle:

  1. Wear a Helmet: This is a no-brainer.  It’s illegal to ride a motorbike without a helmet in many states. In order to ensure a good fit, try on your helmet while still in the store before you buy it. If you have a helmet in which you feel comfortable, you’re more likely to wear it continuously, whenever you’re on your bike. Proper helmets have a lot of cushioning on the inside in order to protect your head and absorb the shock in the event of an accident.

  2. Wear the Right Clothing: Depending on how long you’re going to be riding your bike, there are different types of jackets and pants available with different degrees of armor. You can get a light mesh jacket, which will keep you cool and provide basic protection, or you can go with something in leather, which may have more armor underneath and gives you a greater level of protection. It’s also possible to get leather pants with armor that zip up with your jacket so that a portion of your waist is also protected in case you fall. Don’t forget gloves. The heavier pairs will always give you more protection, but they can get really hot if you’re going to be riding for a long time.

Have a great time when you take out your motorcycle but don’t forget to be safe as well. Get your gear in order and remember to purchase motorcycle insurance to protect yourself, your bike and other drivers while on the open road.

Get the coverage you need. Call Lancette Agency at (651) 264-1230 for more information on Minneapolis motorcycle insurance.
